After running several minutes, CPU occupied by the procedures of cvg solver is almost zero(about 50% only in a short time now and then ), while the memory is used almost 98%! And the calculating is so slowly that only 10 cycles is calculated in two hours. I want to know if this is normal ?

Hi,

if RAM is full, windows writes a page file and uses HDD space as virtual RAM (rough explanation). This of course slows down the simulation, basically stopping it. You need to make sure you dont exceed your RAM limit at any time.

But why CPU is not used at all?

Because your HDD is limited by writing and reading, CPU can´t calculate further if RAM (virtual RAM on HDD) is working too slow.

Check your HDD usage in task manager -> resource monitor
