Hi all

I am new to converge and AMR. Can someone suggest me a good value for sub-grid criterion for AMR>velocity. I ran SprayA LES simulation with 1 m/s but the AMR is not resolving as much as I want, causing huge error in the vapor penetration calculation.

Hi,

For a SprayA RANS modeling, we have some good experience on 1 for velocity, 2.5 for temp, and .001 for void fraction (for a VOF case). The base grid size is 0.2 mm. For LES, I think it wouldn't differ too much. If 1 doesn't work for you, try 0.5 or 0.25 if the cell count and memory are allowed. Thanks.
