Is there any way to analysis aeroelasticity using CONVERGE studio? is it possible with FSI module in CONVERGE to some extent? If it is possible, Can anybody roughly tell me what is the approach for that?

Hello Mohsin,

To model such problems, you would have to look at making use of User-defined functions (UDF) within CONVERGE. It is also possible to map CFD results (near-wall boundary data) from CONVERGE simulations to an external FEA solver.

Please get in touch with support@convergecfd.com with your problem of interest and, depending on your requirements, we can decide upon a suitable option for you to move forward with such simulations.

Sincerely,

for knowing more about UDFs , should i refer manual or is there any more comprehensive study material available regarding usage of UDFs ?

Hello Mohsin,

Please refer both our CONVERGE_2.4_Manual and CONVERGE_2.4_UDF_Manual. They can be obtained for registered users from our website which also contains UDF advanced training materials, all of which will be very helpful to get you started.

For more specific UDF related questions, please get in touch with support@convergecfd.com.

Sincerely,
