Hi everyone,

I am running a RANS simulation on a gas turbine combustor using Converge 3.0.14 on an intel mpi and a linux system. Also, I am using 2 nodes and 32 cpu per node.

Whenever I launch my case, it crashes right after the writing operation of the first output file and I get the attached error files.

Any idea on how to solve this issue?

Best regards,
Alessandro Di Mauro

Hi,

Can you check the CONVERGE log file to see if there are any hints on what is causing the issue? In the meanwhile, can you also check your post.in file to see if all the post variables are named/spelled correctly?

Besides, are you using a map file to initialize your simulation?

Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply. To answer your questions:
i) The log file stops at "writing output file", at first output writing operation. I will post it as well.
ii) I will post the post.in file. However, it seems to be correct.
iii) I am not using a map file to initialize the domain.

Quick update, substituting the post.in file with the one from the example case "entitlement rig steady fgm" the case starts properly.
I will do some trial and error to see where the problem is exactly.

Any help is of course very much appreciated.

Hi,

Can you try to remove the "CASING" in your post.in and retry to see if it helps?

Besides, one trick you can try is to import the current post.in file into an example case or your case setup in Studio, then let the Studio export the "updated" post.in file. If there is any formatting issue or name conflict, Studio will either show an error/warning message or deal with it automatically.
