Hi All

I am trying to run a simulation and the simulation gets terminated after throwing this warning

MPI shared memory is disabled for this build. This feature has been turned off.

I have checked the inputs.in file and the flag for MPI shared is 1. What's happening and how do I debug this issue.

Geometry diagnosis is complete and there were no errors the final validation also doesn't show any warnings or errors but the code doesn't get executed.

Any suggestions on where to start debugging .

Hi Ramesh,


A few things that you could try out:


-after the 'WARNING' error was shown, were there any other statements shown before it crashed? Usually there are 'FATAL' errors that are written out before a simulation crashes. Could you post those if there were any?


-if there were none, could you try activating Simulation Parameters-> Run Parameters-> Misc.-> Screen print level: More verbose ?


This should write out a more detailed report in your screen output.


-could you try checking the abort_trace_rank*.out files that are written out to understand more about your error?
