Hello All,

I am trying to simulate TEC module on Maxwell. I have to specify seeback coefficient but i couldnt find seeback co. value on maxwell in the material properties.

Also, I have another question. Thermoelectric coolers uses electric for cooling as you know. I read a teg tutorial somebody worked with thermal-electric about teg on ansys and he gave approximately (i dont remember) 0.1 V voltage at the inlet and 0 V at the outlet. Should i do the same on Maxwell?
And will the maxwell give me the real thermal result at the top and bottom surface of the module?

Thank you.

I don't know about maxwell or what is it but I can say that for a TEC you need basically 3 inputs
1. Potential difference or current
2. Hot temperature and
3. Cold temperature
For the potential difference you have to specify the potential on one side and ground (0 V) on the other side. For current input also the same , current on one side and ground on the other side, and the magnitude of it depends on the problem or the user!!
Ask me any time if anything else is needed!!
Hope I answered your question !!

I am trying to solve a thermoelectric generator problem using Ansys Thermal-electric module. What could be the inputs for that problem. can any one help to solve that ????

You just have to specify zero voltage or ground condition on the cross section of the copper conductor. This can be specified anywhere in the circuit but is typically specified at the cross section of copper which is used to connect the load resistance !!

You can use Ansys icepak for this
