Hi,
Now i am trying to create a domain in numeca hexpress by importing file from CATIA V5 where initially the Maxsurf software was used to design my ship's hull. I have been tried by importing the model in CAT.part and .stl file type but both of it can't used to create domain after i create a box as a boundary for my ship's hull. In addition, hexpress keep shown that my geometry model has problem although in Catia it was in good condition. So, may i know how to solve this problem? Thanks. |

Hi,
Can you export your file as a parasolid ? After importing the parasolid file in Hexpress, do right click on the part and do "check". It should tell you if there is an issue and maybe point what is causing a problem (it can be a corrupted geometry if there are overlapping surfaces for instance). Also try to make sure your geometry is watertight. |
