Is it possible to do ship selfpropulsion in Numeca Fine/Marine with propeller attached (not virtual propeller)?

Hi,

Fine/Marine is a marine oriented CFD package. Not only it can perform self-propulsion simulations with different level of accuracy but it also offers easy entry points with C-Wizard and a smart plugin to perform your simulation using the continental method (both options are possible: a meshed propeller and actuator disk). It means that the user does no need to write its own controller. If you decide to go for the english method you can also do it easily.


I don't know if you have access to the portal and documentation but you will find useful tutorials and democases there. As you also mentioned the actuator disk, Fine/Marine also provides different level of accuracy to deal with the actuator disk. The user can define how the body forces will act on the actuator disk.
