Hi,

1)Does any one know how to get scalar plots of convective heat transfer coeffcient.

2) For any cuboid in flotherm, is it possible to get percentage of conduction, convection and radiation from each surface of the cuboid.

Thanks
Raghu

Hi raghu,
Yes you can get scalar range of h, use surface plot in the variable instead of temperature keep convective coefficients. And it will get you the values at surface of ur analysis.

And one suggestion for your requirement of percentage reduction use the monitor points and iso surface to compare the change in your required variable manually.

Hi Siva,

Thanks for your reply

I am not able to see surface plot in the variable, do we need to enable something before solving.

And also I am not able to see convective co-efficient option.

Can you please explain it in a bit detail.

Thanks
Raghu

you can only see numerical value for convective heat transfer coeffcient.
First, Open Visual Editor after solve.
Second, Select Table and click Geometry.
Third, Check Geometric Details, Solid Conductor on sub ass'y tree.
Fourth, You can see what you want on the Solid conductors Summary tab.
