Hi everyone,
I am simulating a 3D domain in which water is filling the tank(initially filled with air) through a pipe using VOF and turbulence non-isothermal unsteady modeling without any mass transfer. My solution is converging only at time step size of 10e-9. Is it okay to take such a small time step? Whether I should use explicit or implicit formulation for VOF? I have to track interface between air and water. Please let me know if you need more information. Regards |

If your mesh is so fine you will have convergence problem
And implicit is faster to achieving convergence Try to lower the URF values also Good luck |

Hello everyone, I simulate an open channel flow with VOF model, the simulation is unsteady, so the free surface deforms in time, I would like plot this fluctuation in a specific location, for this I must export a volume fraction profile in this location at every time.
Thanks in advance. |
