Hi all
I am working on 3D simulation for my project. The solution already convergence. How can check if the solutions reached steady-state after the specified residual drops?

Hello Yoser,

at first describe your problem in detail.

You can only be sure that you reached a steady-state status if you monitor some output variables, which are interesting for you. For example the pressure drop or the velocity- and temperaturefield (if you are using ernergy equations).

In the newer Versions of Fluent you can define your own convergence criteria.

I am, for example, simulating heat transfer over plates. I check convergence by calculating the residuals of the volumeintegrals for temperature in both of my fluid and in my solid domain. In addition i check convergence of the pressure volume integral.

Check the Ansys help for additional information:
