Rapid increase in Courant Number -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

AerospaceEngineer New Member Ozgur Join Date: Feb 2020 Posts: 7 Rep Power: 6	Hi all, I am doing a jet breakup simulation(primary breakup) on Ansys fluent. My setup includes transient, adaptive mesh refinement, adaptive time step and a very relatively coarse mesh. For almost 200 time steps my calculations goes smoothly but after around this value courant number increases rapidly. And solution fails. Is there any advice on how to have a proper solution.
