Dear all

when I try to interpret 'file.c' I get the following message:
error: udf compiler: cannot execute cpp
I tried to put thick in 'use contributed CPP', but it does the same.

Any ideas?

Thanks for help

Hi eneja,
I had this problem a few days back. When I checked the folder .../ANSYS Inc\v140\fluent\ntbin\win64, I found the cpp.exe file to be missing. I replaced this file from another installation and the problem was solved.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Vineeth

Hello.
I also have the same problem and I would like to ask you a couple of things:
1) In the folder .../ANSYS Inc\v140\fluent\ntbin\win64 there should be a cpp.exe file? Because in mine one, there isn't any.
2) Where did you find this file elsewhere?

PS. If it helps, I already have VS 2010 Professional.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
The 'cpp.exe' file is part of every installation. However I have observed that some anti-virus programs tend to delete the file mistaking it to be threat.

The simplest way you can fix this is by replacing the file from another fluent installation.

Vineeth

Your solution seems to work. I copied the cpp.exe file from another pc and now the interpretation finishes without any error. Thank you very much for help.
