Hi guys,

I have created a thermodynamic database for my fluid function of P and T and i would like to use it in my FLUENT calculation.
I heard that in the past this was not possible in FLUENT. Is this problem being solved with the newest version?
If so, how can i write an UDF to run my simulation?

Many thanks in advance,

Have you checked the Fluent help? It is practically there in the "Define_Property UDFs" section.

Thanks Pakk. Yes I have checked the DEFINE_Property function, however i didnt get it if this could work also for the specific heat. I have a matrix for specific heat function of pressure and temperature and i would like to use it since my fluid is affected by big pressure an temperature drops. Do you know if it is possible?

for specific heat use DEFINE_SPECIFIC_HEAT macro

best regards

Hi Alexanderz

Do you think i can set the cp function of the P and T with this function? I read that you can only specify the variation of the cP with T.

I remember same information, only T. But you may try, it is not so difficult

It's definitely possible using Define_Property macros. I have used it earlier to model high temperature transport properties using chapman-enskog method. You can try
