Hi,
I am currently using the VOF model for simulating gas-liquid two-phase flow, where the liquid phase is a solution containing two components (with one component being volatile). I have defined that the evaporation rate of the volatile component is proportional to the area of the phase interface.
In this case, 2D quadrilateral meshes are used, so the area of the phase interface corresponds to the length of the phase interface within the cell.
Besides, I used the geometric reconstruction scheme for interpolating cells that contain the phase interface. Hence, I would like to inquire if there is a way to obtain or indirectly calculate the approximate length of the phase interface under the geometric reconstruction scheme using a UDF?
