Is there any way to make a surface group (or multiple surface) without using GUI?

I know how to make a surface group with GUI: click on Surface->Manage, select corresponding surfaces, type the group name, and press the Group button.
It is very nice if this operation can be done only by a journal file of a scheme program or Fluent text commands.

Thanks in advance.
