Hi, I have a question regarding the Dynamic mesh tool. I am trying to simulate a moving water wheel. However when I imported the mesh (solid wheel mesh and surrounding fluid mesh), I got a number of different zones which I am not sure what they are. I had two zones, "tryintonozzle" and "watewheel". The zone names listed in the dynamic mesh zones "zone names" drop down box are "interior-tryintonozzle, interior-watewheel, interior-tryintonozzle-waterwheel, interior-tryintonozzle-waterwheel-shadow, tryintonozzle, waterwheel, pressure inlet, pressure outlet. What are these zones:?
"interior-tryintonozzle-waterwheel, interior-tryintonozzle-waterwheel-shadow"? Which ones should I add to the dynamic mesh zones? if I use all of the zones associated with the water wheel except for the shadow one, the simulation runs fine. However, if I add in the shadow wall, moments on the water wheel fluctuate up and down wildly at each time step. Should I not include this "shadow wall" in the dynamic mesh zones? Should I delete this shadow wall, and if so, how? I used the ANSYS assembly mesher (tetrahedral mesh). |
