I am simulating a water wheel using the 6DOF dynamic mesh tool. My first question is do I add the interior zones and the regular zone along with the zone wall as a dynamic mesh 6DOF zone? Second, below is a moment plot of the wall of the water wheel zone during operation. Before I add that wall as a 6DOF zone, the moment plot does not fluctuate, and the numbers are reasonable. However, once I add it as a 6DOF zone, every time step the moment fluctuates from positive to negative at crazy values. However, it averages out to a reasonable expected number. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
EDIT: I should also add that after each time step I get this message (I assume is remeshing). It changes a bit each time. Is this supposed to be happening at each time step? I have a time step of .0008 seconds. 6 Stored Partitions: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Collective Partition Statistics: Minimum Maximum Total ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Cell count 777556 777852 4666514 Mean cell count deviation -0.0% 0.0% Partition boundary cell count 6821 17063 66039 Partition boundary cell count ratio 0.9% 2.2% 1.4% Face count 3418704 4458253 23375156 Mean face count deviation -12.5% 14.1% Partition boundary face count 9116 21871 73316 Partition boundary face count ratio 0.3% 0.5% 0.3% Cell weights 5e+06 5e+06 3e+07 Mean cell weight deviation -0.0% 0.0% Partition neighbor count 2 4 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Partition Method Principal Axes Stored Partition Count 6 |
