Hi all,
I am working on modelling a double pipe heat exchanger in ANSYS fluent. For the outer wall of the exchanger I have modelled the wall as Convection in the thermal conditions. However I do not know what value to input in the "Heat transfer coefficient" field. Is this the Overall heat transfer coefficient? (i.e. does this take into account the thermal resistance of the convection to the wall, conduction through the wall and convection away from the wall to outer environment?) Or... is this simply the material's heat transfer coefficient? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance |
