difference between particle residence time and transient time

Default difference between particle residence time and transient time

I conducted calculation about particle residence time

Everything is good except transient time.

As you can see below there is difference between residence time legend and aprticle traces colored by particle residence time.

It means that the difference is considerable.

I think that although there is difference, it must be small enough.

Do you know why there are large gap between them?
