Hey
I am looking for time avearged contour plots of velocity, HTC and temperature plot. Following is the procedure I adopt to look get time based average contour plot of these parameter 1. Tick on Data sampling for time statistics 2.Define->Custom Field Functions->Select the desired paraemters (say HTC) 3. Sampling option- Custom field function select the parameters 4. Sampling interval default is 1. After running the simulation then in option of unsteady time statistcs is available in contours and then plot for mean velocity magnitude. 1. Is this methodology of obtaining time averaged velocity plots correct? 2. Can anyone please explain about the sampling interval with an example how it gets averaged. Supposing Sampling interval is 1 and other case say its 4. How does averaging calculation is done w.r.t time? I am looking for averaging initial time step and the last time step results. This understanding would help me in how to do this. I am new user to FLUENT. |
