hi all,
In case of simple 3D flow through pipe problem, In Fluent post processing i found the velocity output can be plotted as x, y, z velocity or axial, radial, tangential velocity. the inputs are given as pressure inlet with axial component and tangential velocity (local cylindrical swirl). which system of output i should choose for postprocessing? Cartesian or cylindrical? |

in that case, how 'x velocity' and 'axial velocity' outputs are different?

they should only be different if the x direction is not aligned with the axial direction of your pipe
