Default Meshing Issue with Named Selection

After meshing and assigning the named selection, the mesh cells do not match the given boundary exactly. For instance, the when I view the mesh for the outlet and inlet it is each missing a cell and this cell is included in the mesh for the remaining face (as shown in fig). Is there a way to rectify this?

I think I posted this in the wrong forum. However, if someone could help me out with this, it would be great.
