I have two simulations running, Simulation A and Simulation B. Is it possible to extract data for a particular zone in simulation A and use it in simulation B given the mesh, domain and boundary conditions remain the same? Also, can the same be done if the mesh size in A and B vary, by interpolation.
Thanks in advance. |

If you use Ansys FLUENT you can duplicate your simulation by right click on your work cells in workbench window
good luck |

In GUI, for SimA go to file => interpolate. choose write data and select the fields you want to export. Then for SimB go file=> interpolate again but choose read and interpolate and choose the file that you saved earlier.
The TUI commands is /file/interpolate/write-data As far as I know, FLUENT uses 0D (nearest neighbor interpolation). |
