Hey there,
i'm trying to simulate a coal combustion, using Species Transport and a DPM Model. I think, that I got the mass-flow right and the injection of the coal particles as well, but the particle seem to just run trough the combustion chamber. They don't burn or ignite. The temperatures stays at 600-800 Kelvin. I tried it with an higher initial temperature, but it didn't help. I don't have any idea how to solve this problem. Does anyone has an idea?? Thanks |

When I run combustion I do it in a step wise approach. First just running cold to get the flow established. Then after the flow is esablished I enable all equations except raditation and set dpm interaction to 0. Then after a handful of iterations enable the dpm interaction.
