I am modeling 2d couette flow in fluent. The upper plate moves at 5m/s. When I go in solution initialization I select compute from as top plate. I expect that the intitial value should be taken as 5m/s. But the initial value still remains at 0m/s. In case of flow over a flat plate when compute from inlet is give the initial value is taken as the value of velocity at inlet as specified in boundary condition. Why doesn't this happen during couette flow? |
