Strange results with flapping wing

Hey,
I have been using Fluent to analyse a symmetrical flapping wing. I have used the UDF cg_define_motion to setup a vertical translation and a rotation movement (both are continous functions = a*sin(b*x)). The airspeed is set at 7 m/s, Re of 100.000. When I run the simulation, the monitored Cl gets unrealistically high value (around +50). When I analyse the rotating and translational movement seperately, I can see that both result in these high values (cyclical as expected though). Does anybody have any idea why this occurs? I can give more information if you think that would be helpful. Thank you in advance! |
