multiphase flow model question

This is my first time using this forum. I'm looking the ANSYS help manual to see how the multiphase flows models are implemented in Fluent or CFX, and I found something confusing.
Section 17 talks about mixture model theory. Section 17.4.3~17.4.10 talks about its field equations and some relevant constitute equations. Section 17.4.11 talks about some models of interfacial area concentration. However, I didn't find where interfacial area concentration is used in the mixture model. So I'm confused why interfacial area concentration is introduced here in this section. Did I missed something? |
