Hi,

Can anybody explain me contains of pdf file . I am interested in furnace simulation using pdf approach. I went through all fluent manual but couldn't find this. Also I will appreciate if you also tell me work flow of pdf approach.

The PDF , probability density function is a table that store the fluctuation of f (the mixture fraction), scalars that depends on the mixture fraction. from there Fluent will derive scalars like temperature , velocity, and mass fraction of species

Thank you for reply. I understood what does PDF funnction do but I really dont understand how it does? If I look into fluent pdf file it looks like this-
