hello , i'm a student and need help with the simulation in fluent. Is like a ship hull but i have a problem with the simulation of two fluids the water and air, i don't know how to separate the boundary to simulate the multiphase.
Is something like in the image what i need. I'm just learning how to use ansys so any help you can give me will be really appreciate. I need some help. Thank you very much in advance. |

Hi
For meshing: 1-You should make one meshed volume with two faces on inlet, sides and outlet. 2-You should not seperate water and air volumes in meshing. 3-Use finer mesh near the water surface. For solver: 1-Initialize the solution with water volume fraction=1 in all places. 2-Patch the top half with water volume fraction =0 Now you have seperated water and air, then if the solver converge, it shows the waves around the hull on water surface. |
