Hi everyone ..
I'm going to build a low budget workstation for my final year project to run ANSYS Fluent (IC Engine) problems ..
I would like to find some information about the workstation technical specs required to run the problems in a short period of time ..

I'm confusing in choosing the processor .. Listed below are the processor that likely to be used (since I only afford one of these) ..

1) Intel i7-2600K (4 cores + Hyperthreading)
2) AMD FX 8320 (true 8 cores)
3) Intel i5-6600K (true 4 cores)
4) AMD Phenom II X6 1605T (true 6 cores)

My question is:

1. Which one of these is these best in solving the ICE problems:
i.Cold flow
ii.Combustion simulation,
iii.Transient 3millions cells Mesh
iv.Parallel processing

2. Do I really need 16GB of RAM or 8GB is just enough?

3. Do this problem required a powerful GPU or a 1GB DDR3 is fairly enough?

Hopefully someone will help me answer this problem ..
