I am a newbie in using Fluent and hence would greatly appreciate all the help I can get here .
I am trying to simulate the effect of wind on the blades of a wind-mill . I am not sure about the cell-zone conditions and boundary conditions . I initially tried to do the simulation using Solidworks Flow Simulation . But there I was asked to specify the angular velocity of the rotating region . That is not what I am looking for . I want the blades to be initially at rest . When the inlet velocity hits the blades , only then I want them to start rotating due to the wind . To that effect I am not sure how to set up the cell-zone and boundary conditions , because everywhere it looks like I have to specify the speed of the rotating region. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
