Dear all,
I am simulating a problem with heat transfer and transient case. I have a solid domain in contact with a cooling fluid. I fixed the energy source term (W/m^3) for the solid domain and run the case in steady stade. Then, I changed the energy source term as a function of time through an UDF and solved the problem for transient case. The value of heat flux at the solid surface (reports>surface integrals>area-weighted average>wall fluxes>total surface heat flux) is not matching to the predicted value from the energy source term. Anyone can help me, what is the meaning of the heat flux at the solid surface? How Fluent calculate this value? C.C |
