Autosave doesnt work

Hey all,

I'm dealing with a dynamic mesh simulation. After the simulation has finished, I want export data of e special time step. When I load the appropiate case&data file, there is no data. I want to extract a velocity profile and all velocities are 0.00000. I dont know what I'm doing wrong.
Can somebody tell me?

Describing your problem better would help diagnose it...

Autosave doesn't work
So you set up your autosave to save every # time-steps or # iterations? You have a bunch of corresponding .dat files (and possibly also .cas files)? And then when you open the .dat you are interested in, it contains what exactly?

there is no data
If you opened a .dat file, it must contain data, it cannot be empty.

all the velocities are 0.0000
Apparently you lied, there is some data! Well of course the .dat file contains some data. But what are you doing to extract it? Did you do that correctly? By the way, is this non-data data your initial condition by any chance?

I try you explain more in detail:

Before I start simulating, I create a Line (setting up domain-create-line/rake) where I want to extract data about the velocity at a special time step. After the calculation has finished, I'm looking how my dynamic mesh has moved and I want to see the velocity profile on that Line I created. And I want to do that at a special time step. I set up the autosave for # time steps.

So after simulating: Import- case/data (at that Time step that I need)
then it loads and I try to get the velocity data at my line: Export-solution data - ASCII - I choose my line and Y-Velocity.. But it doesn't work...
