I am analyzing a subsonic nozzle, but have some problems with setting up boundary conditions of the inlet of the nozzle. I have known the pressure, temperature and mass flow rate at the inlet. Since it looks like not practical to set both the mass flow rate and the pressure when using the mass flow inlet, I am using pressure inlet instead. However, the residue blows up very fast. I am not sure what's wrong. It does converge when I use mass flow inlet, but I can not set the pressure.
How do I measure the thrust from the nozzle? Would it be possible to compute it from the mass flow rate and flow velocity from surface integral reports? Thanks, |
