cfd seeker is on a distinguished road
Hello,

i tried to model the radial piston pump of rotating pistons type in CFX but because of some difficulties in CFX i am thinking to model it in Fluent.

As can be seen in the attached image, the pistons are rotating around the suction and discharge ports and at the same time making translation motion in their own axis as highlighted in the pic. I know the displacement equations for the pistons while they make the 360 degree rotation. So the translation motion can be modelled using Dynamic mesh in Fluent with the help of Rigid Body motion (using UDF i suppose). What about the side walls of the pistons because they are rotating as well as mesh is deforming on the side walls? How this can be modelled in Fluent? What kind of UDF i will need for that. Can anybody provide any sort of help for this UDF?
