How to report no. of cells within boundary layer

Hi there
For a class project I'm required to report the number of cells used to capture a laminar boundary layer for three mesh densities. So given the nature of the flow, the Y+ values for each mesh aren't relevant. I'm wondering if anyone knows what variables should be used to plot a graph showing how many cells are at some distance y away from the flat plate being considered. I've produced a graph using y on the y axis and Boundary Cell Distance on the x axis, and it appears to be showing what I'm looking for for the first 2 meshes, but the coarsest mesh begins like the other two and then rises to an asymptote at 15, regardless of whether there are 15 or more than 15 cells inside the line generated to represent the thickness of the BL. I can directly count how many cells are contained from the 3D viewer, but I would prefer to produce a graph for the format of my submission. Thanks, |
