cloud7a is on a distinguished road
I have a favor to ask pls! I have some problems with solving a FSI 2 way issue.
The problem is that i need to simulate a gear motor. I have setup the system coupling for this math but it seem it doesnt work.
- When the fluid contact the first gear from inlet which is set a number of pressure magnitude, it will create a force leading to turing the gear and the next step is applying the displacement of the gear back to the fluent module and re-meshing.
- All things that i have done is setting transient structure including putting fluid interface for several surfaces, frictionless support for the shaft. Besides, im using transient solver in fluent module with k-epsilon model.
- In the dynamic mesh tab, i change fluid domain to deforming and the interfaces contacted with the gear is system coupling. Am i right when using this method to solve the problem? Is there any problems with this setup or did i miss something? Appreciated so much.
And here is my attachment:
