Can Anyone explain the difference between the One Way FSI and Two Way FSI?
Because I am working on a project which deals with a Pulsating Pressure Flow of Gas inside the Pipeline. To do so I am in the requirement of the the above difference!!! Thank you.. |

Fluid-Structure Interaction is useful only if the solid goes under deformation due to certain stresses, such as, mechanical and thermal stresses. One-Way FSI implies the effect of the fluid on to the solid and the solid deforms. In reality, due to the solid deformation, flow-field changes and that modifies the deformation in the solid and the cycle repeats until an equilibrium is achieved. One-Way FSI does not include this feedback, while Two-Way FSI does.
