Hi all,

I have a 'pretty good' solution, on the same mesh, that we would like to use as the initialization of a FLUENT solve. The file is in .cgns format.

How could I do this?

Thanks!

Is this possible, Fluent initialization with solution data in CGNS format from other solvers such as CFX? Or is there an application which can create a .dat file from .res file?

vinerm will become famous soon enough
Data file written in cgns can be directly imported into Fluent. Once read in, Fluent automatically initializes the case with the data from cgns file.

Thank you, it's been 12 years since I used Fluent, I am an every day user of CFX so don't need Fluent very often.
