Hello guys.I need to simulate and compare results of hawt and vawts and compare their output at different angle of applied wind.I have started with an savonius wind turbine i have learned something about about geometry and meshing but i need help in setup part.I have made two enclosure one is rotating part and other is stationary then boolean op. after meshing i dont know what to do

If the mesh is developed, then you certainly have a domain around the turbines. You need to apply some inlet and outlet values, e.g., mass or velocity at the inlet and pressure at the outlet. You will also have to enable turbulence model, either k-\varepsilon or k-\omega. And then you can report the moment about the axis to compare the output. All the details cannot be given here. There are multiple tutorials online that you can go through.

Thank you for reply vinerm.Actually i have check tutorials and complated simulation but i am now having trouble with cfd post i dont know how to calculate moment or torque of the blade i have created a moment file in monitor but dont know how to compute them now u can find ss in this link(https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...p=sharing)have nice day.

I am afraid I cannot access Google Drive. If you want to use CFD-Post to determine moment, then you may have to look for moment calculation in CFD-Post. I know that it has options for force and moment calculations. But it also requires that proper axis origin and direction be specified. Fluent can directly report those forces as well. Sorry, I am not very accustomed to CFD-Post.
