Thank you for your advice, but why do you abandon using the Mesh software? I know yo

It is the mesh software use in the workbench. You think fluent is not good, what do

You think fluent is not good, what do you use now? |

No no. I use Fluent as my primary CFD, but there are different PRE-PROCESSORS to mesh the geometries. I stopped using the one you use due to the problems it cause, and I'm using now TGrid (Fluent meshing) or ICEM CFD.

I heard that the TGrid can only produce unstructured mesh such as triangle or tetrah

I know Icem ,it is very perfect to mesh complex bodies, do you have some material to learn it, thank you |

Does the Tgrid can mesh the 2D model?

Does the Tgrid can mesh the 2D model? I find there are little material on the internet.

TGrid is called Fluent Meshing now. It cannot mesh 2D. The launcher for Fluent Meshing is same as Fluent's and you can enable it only after enabling 3D.

Well, Fluent meshing (TGrid) is able to produce tetra, mosaic and poly meshes. For structured hexa meshes you'd need to use ICEM CFD to achieve good results. And about material... I'm sorry about that, but there're very few information. I used mainly youtube and its manual. There are probably a few PDFs online but, I usually prefer to see somebody doing that, and then read the literature to contextualize it.

You mean Tgrid can only mesh 3D models, but there are little vedios about the Tgrid o

That's exactly why most of people don't upload videos about it. It's a tool that usually needs some previous preparation and knowledge and it's not for the "general public". In universities the standard meshing is used and tutorials are focused on it. But I can't answer your question of "how many people use it" because I don't have a clue. But in my personal opinion is the most comfortable way of meshing 3D geometries in ANSYS.

The primary community that uses Fluent Meshing is automotive. That's the community it is aimed, at least now. Earlier, it was not really aimed at any community but for the last 7-10 years, the development has been towards automotive domain, particularly, for the underhood meshing. But it's a general purpose tool and can be used for any kind of model, preferred for the models that are not very clean, i.e., dirty CAD.
