Dear Friends

I have a problem in boundary condition for the wall. I want to set both moving wall and specified shear stress. however, when I choose moving wall, the shear stress becomes unavailable.

do you know what I should do?

Best regards

Hi zese,

I've just tried it and Fluent allows me to specify the shear in more than one wall even with a 3D geometry. Have another look on how you designed the geometry or share a snapshot of the case for a better understanding if you want.

Regards.

Hi,

thanks for your reply. this is not my problem. as you can see from the picture I attached, when I choose moving wall, there is just no slip but I want to specify shear stress.

Yeah yeah, I meant "moving wall". I did it actually in Fluent 18.2, not the newest version, and shear stress was activated when selecting "moving wall". So after thinking it quite a lot, I'd strongly recommend you to post your problem in ANSYS student community; they solved me problems similar to those when I didn't have any clue.

Sorry for not being helpful at all, but I don't know at all where your problem is coming from. Best of luck with it, I trust in ANSYS community for this, they're quite useful and answer in less than 2 days usually.

Regards.
