Hi all,

I'm currently working on a project comparing the aerodynamic performance of a serrated trailing-edge wing versus a clean wing model. I've modelled each design using a trailing-edge insert plate (either flat or serrated) merged with an extruded (3D) NACA0012 aerofoil.

My problem arises when adding inflation layers during the meshing process for the serrated case. As can be seen attached, the inflation layers at the areofoil surface discontinue prior to the blunt edge of the insert plate (using pre or post algorithm). I've also attached my clean wing mesh for comparison, where it's seen that the inflation layers envelope the entire trailing edge as desired.

I'm unsure how to fix this issue but am almost certain that it is undesirable as currently constructed and should be amended (?). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Attachment 1: Clean wing model with inflation layers (post algorithm)
Attachment 2: Serrated wing model with inflation layers (post alogorithm)
Attachment 3: Serrated wing inflation layer face selection ('wing' portion)
Attachment 4: Serrated wing secondary inflation layer face selection ('endplate' portion)

Hello, I'm facing a very similar problem. Can you tell me how you solved it?
Thanks
