Hi There,
I've recently been tasked with investigating the plausibility of modifying the already implemented PEM (proton-exchange membrane) fuel cell module within ANSYS Fluent for use with an AEM (anionic Exchange Membrane) fuel cell. In short, they both do the the same thing using different electrochemical mechanisms (HI+ ion - PEM, OH- ion - AEM). Over the next few months I will be delving deep into this topic and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's looked at it before. What they found worked and didn't work. If anybody has experience in this field, or knows of a good source to get started please let me know! I will be updating this thread with non-specific but useful information as i continue to work within fuel cells. Thanks! |
