Hi, everyone
I am using Fluent to obtain a profile of fully developed flow between two flat plates to reproduct a paper. According to the calculations, the wall shear stress is about 0.012pa, but in the paper the wall stress for a smooth channel is about 0.016pa. Since some parameters are not given in the paper, I would like to know if my calculation is correct or if there is some way such as an empirical formula to verify if my calculation is correct? The Reynolds number based on the hydraulic diameter (0.2m) is 20,000 and the channel size is 0.125mX0.5mX5m. The boundary conditions and the physical parameters of the working fluid (320K) are shown in the figure. p.png bc.png Thanks ! I exported the data on the variation of flow velocity with height on the outlet median. If I use this data to calculate it, it seems to give the right answer, so which data should I trust?
