Fluent animation files won't save - working directory issue?

I'm trying to autosave a PNG for an animation every x flow time. I've set the save path to ./velocity-animation but fluent can't find the folder. For some reason, it seems to think the working directory is the temp folder. When the model starts running, I get a directory not found error, and it dumps all the images in the parent folder which is very frustrating. I'm using the ./ path to save my meshes as well as plots, and for both of these it works. Why not animations? Clearly, since all the images are saved to my original working directory, fluent 'knows' this is the working directory, which doesn't make any sense. The folders are in there, the names are exact, but the program refuses to actually save images in here.

How are you creating the animation? Are you using the Execute Commands approach, where you execute tui commands every x number of time steps? Or are you using the solution playback approach, which saves a .cxa (& hmf) file?
The working directory is not a network location, is it? Some of the external fluent algorithms don't play nice when executed on network locations. Are you able to execute the commands manually to save a single image? |
