Hi,

It is the first time I use ansys fluent and I have an issue when I calculate solar load for a cubic building (base case) as a starting point. it is just a 4 walls building.

I followed some videos in youtub where expliain well the steps but for any reason that I missed I ger zero solar load in all facades. I also checked forums with similar error but old post link related to this error are corrupted unfortunately.

i defined

- model- solar ray tracing
- materials for walls - concrete
-boundary conditions for each wall- material, type, thermal conditions,.. opaque and participate in solar ray tracing
-inicialization - computes from all zones
-contour -- select heat flux and wall fluxes

basically the steps of the videos.

I have attached the model link I hope you can download it and tell me what i do wrong.

so my questions are

1- Why d I get zero solar load on the facade?

2- some videos they add a outside air domain element apart from the building, what is the goal of it?
