Dear sir:
Can fluent model turbulence flow in porous media? Can fluent solve primary variable on a volume by volume basis? Thanks wei rong |

The only thing Fluent can do is assume that the standard turbulence model is applicable, i.e. the porous media has no impact on for example the size of the eddies. Therefore this is only true for porous media with porosities of maybe 0.9 to 1. If your porous medium has a lower porosity than that you could make errors when thermal or species dispersion is important. No specific porous medium turbulence models are available in Fluent.
