bug in Fluent 6.1

Is anybody happy with this: When you try to track trajectories of 30nm particles using DPM, they simply evaporate even for inert steel at 300K!
If you have a solution to this problem, please let me know. The bug has been there for half a year. I don't know what the Fluent people are doing. |

I suspect the reply you'll get is "it's not a bug it's a feature".
I've had other problems with the DPM model (maybe in 6.0 I don't remember) where droplets that really should have evaporated reach a diameter that's near enough to zero to make no difference, and cause all sorts of numerical problems. (i.e. overflow) Rob |
